First-Ever FIFA Final Halftime Show: Bieber, BTS, Madonna, Burna Boy And Shakira Make World Cup History

Global music icons Justin Bieber, BTS, Madonna and Shakira are set to share one stage for the first-ever halftime show in FIFA World Cup final history.
The landmark performance will headline the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on July 19 at the New York-New Jersey Stadium, marking the first time FIFA has introduced a Super Bowl-style entertainment spectacle during the world’s biggest football match.
Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber joins a star-studded lineup that already includes pop legend Madonna, Latin music queen Shakira, and K-pop supergroup BTS, bringing together four of the world’s biggest musical acts for an unforgettable 11-minute performance.

The show is being creatively directed by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and will also feature performances by Nigerian Grammy-winning star Burna Boy, world-renowned conductor Gustavo Dudamel, Coldplay, New York’s PS22 Children’s Chorus, as well as appearances by beloved Sesame Street and The Muppets characters.

FIFA expects the final and its halftime spectacle to attract an audience of around two billion viewers worldwide across television and digital streaming platforms.

Beyond entertainment, the show will also support a global cause. FIFA plans to use the event to help raise 100 million dollars for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which aims to expand access to education and football opportunities for underprivileged children around the world.

Skepta Links Up With Portable At British Fashion Awards In London

    Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, has gone fully international as he linked up with famous British-Nigerian rapper Joseph Adenuga Jnr, aka Skepta at the British Fashion Award in London. In a viral video online, Portable was seen beside the rapper and his people as they arrived at the event and walked the red carpet. The Zazu crooner dressed fashionably for the event, wearing a two-piece jacket with matching sneakers. Announcing the news on his Instagram page, Portable shared a video of Skepta vibing to his song as they drove to the event. The rapper was impressed as he sang along at a point. In another clip, Portable hung around with Skepta and his crew, presumably before they gained entrance into the award ceremony. In a recent report, Spotify, an online streaming platform, disclosed that Gen Zs aged 18-24 accounted for 55 per cent of the total Nigerian hip-hop streams. Considering their massive support for Hip-Hop music, Nigerian Generation Z individuals occupy the most significant percentage of the genre’s listeners. Gen Zs, colloquially known as Zoomers, is the demographic succeeding Millennials and preceding Generation Alpha. They were born between 1997 and 2012.
