After Fif alleged that the lyrics to Ross' 2013 single "U.O.E.N.O." were creepy enough to have the Carol City rapper dropped from  liquor sponsorships , Ross fired back, offering to buy longtime G-Unit members out of their contracts. Calling Fifty a "diabolical genius" in an Instagram reel, Ross said that he heard  Young Buck 's catalog was worth $725,000. "I can only assume that  Lloyd Banks ' is worth about the same," Ross added. "So I say let's make it and keep it simple: throw  Tony Yayo  in there, I can give you $1.5 [million]." Saying that he doesn't "need the entire G-Unit catalog," Ross offered another $500,000 for the masters of G-Unit's 2003 album  Beg for Mercy . "So that's $2 million dollars. I'm making a business offer to the diabolical genius," Ross continued. Flauntin

NEWS REVIEWS RELEASES DX AWARDS MORE BEST PRODUCED HIP HOP SONGS OF 2023 by  DX STAFF Published on: Dec 6, 2023, 6:00 AM PST Hip Hop has gone through several stages of evolution over its 50 years, through which the craft and its disciplines continue to expand. This goes for production as well as bars and delivery. Today, more than ever, producers are sampling music made decades ago as well as other Hip Hop songs from not too long back that were already built on borrowed cuts, and the percussion added to these snippets ranges anywhere from trap to boom-bap to drill as the prospects increase with a growing influx of new ideas. In addition to the changing sounds, this past year also saw a number of producers switch up and take on new roles that saw them make hits for themselves.  Metro Boomin , for instance, dropped an entire tracklist of gems for  his sophomore album , best represented by the  Future  and  Chris Brown -assisted  “Superhero.” AD AD LOADING...   His new interview with  CBS Mornings  also dove into his solo debut album,  New Blue Sun . André 3000’s  conflicted feelings toward hip-hop were again highlighted in a new interview with  CBS Mornings  on Wednesday (Dec. 6).  With this year dubbed the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, many heralded luminaries expressed their unconditional love for the culture, including Nas, LL Cool J, Will Smith and more. 3000 noted that while he received a bevy of offers to participate in this year’s festivities, he turned them down. “I wouldn’t want to be — I’m doing it just because I’m trying to meet an expectation,” he said. “I didn’t get into OutKast for that, you know.” Last month, 3000 released his debut album,  New Blue Sun , which is comprised of eight songs. To the dismay of many rap purists, he didn’t provide any bars, and instead devoted his attention to his newfound love for woodwind instruments.  “When people ask me about a rap album, ‘Man, I would love a rap album,’ I’m with you,” he said.
